"Mommy I Can't Wait to Get Married!"

I was out shopping with the girls in Fred Meyer and as we passed the jewlery department Ashley said, "Mommy I can't wait to get married!" I asked her why she was so excited to get married and she said, "Because I want to wear one of those rings!" The girl already has her eye on the kind of diamond ring she wants. I explained to her that when she gets married she won't live at home anymore, but will move into a different home with her husband. Ashley made a dissapointed face and didn't look too excited by the thought. I told her that I would be sad if she left already because I would miss her too much. She decided she'll stay for a little while longer.

The next day Ashley was asking Derek to tell her all about the hospital and what happened during his day. Derek told her about the things he did and then told her that some of the people in the hospital aren't very nice to him and sometimes even say mean things to him. A minute later dinner was ready and Derek said the prayer. After the prayer was over Ashley said, "Daddy you forgot to ask Heavenly Father to forgive those people who were mean to you in the hospital." I thought it was a pretty sweet thing to say and it definitely made Derek and I think twice about what she said.
